I really want to appear in my own mind and feel the connection with my body again. After hearing about the multiple benefits of practicing yoga regularly, I decided to give it a try. When I started to persist, I found that I could better control anxiety and stress and apply the skills I learned in yoga to all aspects of my life. This wonderful routine proved to me that small, positive steps can significantly improve your mental state.
When practicing yoga, there is no time to think about the endless troubles in life, because you are completely immersed in the present, focusing on breathing and feeling on the mat. This is a vacation away from thinking about the past and the future-you are based in the present. The best part of yoga is that there is no competition; it applies to anyone, regardless of your age or ability; you come at your own pace. You don't have to be very bent or flexible, it's all about the harmony between body and breath.
Usually, when people hear the word "yoga", they think of silly postures, Jiu-Jitsu-style stretching exercises and saying "namaste", but it means more than that. It is a comprehensive exercise that focuses on breathing mindfulness (Pranayama), self-discipline (Niyama), breathing meditation (Dhyana), and puts your body into a state of rest (Savasana).
Savasana can be a difficult position to grasp-it is difficult to release tension when you stare at the ceiling. It's never as simple as "Okay, it's time to relax." But once you learn to let go and relax every muscle slowly, you will feel like you are relaxing and enter a refreshing pause.
This feeling of inner peace opens up the possibility of new perspectives. Committed to this helps us maintain awareness of our thoughts and feelings, which are an important part of our happiness. Since practicing yoga, I have noticed that I have undergone tremendous changes both mentally and physically. As a person suffering from fibromyalgia, this condition can cause widespread pain and extreme fatigue. Yoga can relieve my muscle tension and focus my nervous system.

Brig reached out to people who have experienced the benefits of yoga, and listened to those who have been practicing yoga for a while and those who accepted yoga during the pandemic.
Nutrition and lifestyle coach Niamh Walsh helps women manage IBS and find food freedom by changing their relationship with stress: “I practice yoga every day and it really helped me through all three confinement periods.
